Moon Sets Foot in N Korea First Time Since 2007

  • To take the peace situation between North and South Korea one step further, Moon Jae-in, the South Korean President, has landed on the North Korean soil. Kim Jong Un and Moon are scheduled to have the third summit of this year. The two leaders cordially met at the Sunan International Airport amidst cheering crowds.

    This is Moon's first visit to North Korea since 2007. The three day trip of his is likely to bring about numerous talks between them on subjects like nuclear weapons program of North Korea, economic cooperation, and ending the Korean War.
