Mona Lisa's real face may have been found

  • A three-year-long quest that put experts closer to finding out what the real face of Mona Lisa looks like has come closer to the end: Silvano Vinceti said DNA tests have started on a skeleton unearthed in Florence and if the tests matche, a digital image would be generated. The real face may or may not look like the one in Leonardo da Vinci's painting.

Vinceti mentioned that the results would come out in May or June and art historians would continue to look for the real face if they don't find success this time.

The painting is currently kept in Louvre but Vinceti pushed for it to be brought back to Italy. George Clooney supports the move.
