Modi-Trump Meet Underlined by Optimism, Promise of Closer Ties, Multiple Hugs and Handshakes

The US President Donald Trump had a long meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, which stressed more on friendship / strategic partnership. Reports say that the confrontational delicate policy issues between the two strategic partners are kept short. Both the leaders kept an optimistic tone throughout their conversation and President Trump nodded on possible differences. While delivering joint statements during a Rose Garden ceremony both Modi and Trump stressed on “incredibly important” security partnership and vowed to “destroy radical Islamic terrorism”. PM Modi stressed that his Make in India vision has the potential to converge with President Trump’s 2016 Presidential campaign slogan of “Make America Great Again”.
