Militants kill three cops in Grozny

  • Three traffic police officers in Grozny were killed by Chechen militants on Wednesday, December 3, media reports said.

Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechen leader, said the officers were trying to stop the gunmen’s vehicles when they were killed.

Later, the militants reportedly entered a building in the Chechen capital that houses media outlets.

Security forces were seen surrounding the building, which was ablaze. Gunfire has been reported from the premises.

A suicide bomb attack in Grozny had killed five policemen in October.
