Migrant boat sinks near Istanbul, 24 dead

At least 24 migrants died when a boat carrying them capsized near Istanbul on Monday, November 3, media reports said.
Seven people were rescued from the water after the boat carrying 43 migrants sank near the Black Sea. According to Turkish officials, nine people carried Afghan passports.
While 24 bodies have been recovered, efforts were underway to find the people still missing, authorities said.
The mishap occurred in the Bosphorus strait, which runs through Istanbul and links the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara.
