Mexican state wants to hire women to end police corruption
October 2 , 2013
According to the Mexican State authorities, it's possible to solve the issue of rampant corruption by replacing all traffic police with tall and thin women. A local police chief, who has taken on 60 women as traffic cops said, "We get too many short and fat ones." He mentioned that men pay more attention to tall women, who also render respect and barely "ask for or take bribes."
However, this plan doesn't seem to be going too smoothly: tall and thin women may not be completely incorruptible.
One driver revealed that she once paid 200 pesos to a female officer, who stopped her a few months ago. "It's not a pleasant thing to do," she said.
