Main protest site in Hong Kong being cleared
December 11 , 2014
Authorities in Hong Kong have started to clear the main protest site in the city, after over two months of demonstrations, media reports said.
Earlier, pro-democracy protesters had been warned to leave before the operation began at Admiralty camp. But some protesters said they would stay on.
The protests are, however, now only a pale shadow of the peak in September when thousands of Hong Kong residents poured on to the streets.
