Libyan forces recapture Sirte from ISIS

  • Libyan forces have recaptured the Port city of Sirte from the Islamic State. The Libyan government Spokesman, General Mohammad al- Ghusri, said that after intense fighting, the ISIS militants were forced to vacate the area. Heavy artillery, warplanes and missiles were deployed in the battle. The attack by the Libyan forces killed two soldiers and wounded eight as well as forced IS militant leaders to flee into the desert.
