Lee Kuan Yew's funeral procession: Thousands bid final farewell

  • Tens of thousands of Singaporeans turned out in the rain to bid a final farewell to former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew, who was widely regarded as the founding father of Singapore.

    People lined up the streets to see the departed leader’s funeral procession.

    Lee who died at the age of 91 is credited with turning the city-state in to one of the world’s wealthiest nations.

    Over half a million people went to Parliament House, where Lee’s coffin was being kept earlier, to pay tribute.
