Kim Pyong il, a Possible Successor of North Korea

Political turmoil continues in North Korea after the sudden disappearance of its dictator Kim Jong Un. The health status of Kim Jong is not clear yet. Political activities have been heating up in Pyongyang. It is expected that Kim Jong's uncle and veteran diplomat Kim Pyong Il will be the next successor of North Korea. The 65-year old Kim Pyong il is the last surviving son of the country's founder Kim Il Sung. Kim Pyong Il had spent four decades in foreign countries and worked there as a diplomat. He returned to North Korea last year.
