Karzai calls al-Qaeda a myth
March 4 , 2014
Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai said it's time to move on. He expressed his anger towards the American government while reflecting his time as president. Karzai mentioned that the US should stop targeting Afghan villages and spend more time on Taliban strongholds instead.
He also referred to al-Qaeda as being a myth and said most US prisoners in Afghanistan are not guilty.
Karzai mentioned that the war was meant for the Western interest. "When I see good, I am in approval," he said. "When I see the losses of Afghan people, our children, maimed and killed, I'm in disapproval."
