Japan: 3 killed and more than 90 injured in Osaka earthquake

  • Japan's largest metropolis Osaka was hit by an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 on Monday morning killing 3 and injuring more than 90 people. No earlier tsunami warnings were issued in the region. According to Japan's Meteorological Agency, the epicentre of the earthquake was just north of Osaka city. The earthquake not only destroyed the Osaka city but also struck an important area of central Japan where Panasonic is located. Houses were destroyed, water mains were bursted and buildings were damaged in Osaka.
