Israeli court rejects controversial West Bank barrier
April 3 , 2015
An Israeli court has rejected a plan that would route a controversial barrier at the West Bank through a scenic spot close to Bethlehem.
The administration intended to construct a part of the separation barrier through church properties in Cremisan Valley.
The proposal was being fought in court and, if implemented, would have cut off several Christian families from their lands.
Fuad Twal, Jerusalem’s Latin patriarch, described the Supreme Court’s verdict as a “victory for everyone.”
