July 8 , 2014
Israel has stepped up its airstrikes in Gaza against the Palestinian militant group Hamas, as the conflict shows more signs of escalating, according to media reports.
At least 60 airstrikes were reported, with the Israeli defense forces using F-16s and Apache helicopters. Ten people were reportedly injured.
Israel’s military has called up hundreds of reservists and may recruit more to bolster its strength around Gaza.
Meanwhile, in a Facebook post, a Hamas leader said that Israel had “crossed the red lines and will be made to pay the price for its crimes.”
