Iraq hangs Saddam Hussein's aide

Iraq has executed a top aide of toppled leader Saddam Hussein.
Hussein’s personal secretary and chief bodyguard Abid Hamid Mahmud al-Tikriti was hung for crimes of genocide in relation to the suppression of Iraqi Shia Muslims during the 1980s.
He was captured in 2003 by US-led coalition forces and was number four on a list of most-wanted Iraqi officials.
Hussein was executed in December 2006.
