Iran Test Fires Far-Reaching Ballistic Missiles
July 4 , 2012
Iran claims to have successfully test-fired several long-range ballistic missiles. These missiles are capable of targeting Israel and of crossing the Persian Gulf to destroy overseas US bases, says Iran. Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the Iran's Revolutionary Guards' aerospace division, has confirmed that the tests have been successful and the missiles shall form part of Iran's defense plans. With Iran and the US refusing to rule out the use of force to restrain Iran from pursuing its nuclear program, the testing of these missiles only add to fears of a war in the Middle East.
