Iran elections: Partial results indicate Reformist will win in Tehran

  • Partial results released on Sunday indicate allies of Hassan Rouhani, Iran’s reformist president, will win in Tehran.  According to media reports, this is the country’s first parliamentary vote since it signed a nuclear deal with global powers. So far, 90 percent of the votes have been counted. The indications are that the pro-Rouhani List of Hope is all set to bag all the 30 parliamentary seats in Tehran.
