India police release sketches of bomb suspect
July 17 , 2013
There has been a suspect regarding the bomb blasts at one of the holiest sites in India. The police have released the suspect’s sketches and have offered a reward of one million rupees for information about the suspect. These bombs had been in the form of ten small devices that exploded in the Bodh Gaya temple in Bihar on July 7. The bombs that went off had wounded two monks and the rest of the three had been defused.
There are two sketches and the suspect is wearing a mask in one and the dress of a Buddhist monk in the other. There had been a man arrested for questioning after the police studied CCTV footage but there were no charges. The police also say that there is a possibility that Islamic militants are responsible for the attacks given the Buddhist violence against Muslims in Myanmar. Security has been increased even in Nepal after these attacks in India.
