Immigration debate dominates UK bypoll
November 19 , 2014
Ukip candidate, Mark Reckless, in the bypoll at Rochester and Strood has indicated that EU immigrants and polish plumbers may be asked to quit Britain if his party were ruling, media reports say.
Mark Reckless, a former Conservative MP, suggested that the case of migrants who had been living in Britain for a long period would be looked at more sympathetically.
Labour candidate, Naushabah Khan, who comes from an immigrant family, asked Reckless if his statements meant that her family would be told that “they need to go back as well.”
