Hurricane Michael Breaks Record

  • Hurricane Michael, which has gained the title of the most powerful hurricane to ever hit Florida's north-west, has snapped trees, submerged homes, and flooded beach towns. In the Panhandle region of the state, the Michael made landfall, registering as a Category three storm on Wednesday afternoon. The wind speed was recorded to be 125 mph. Roughly 50,000 people were affected in Georgia, Alabama, and Florida as they were left without electricity. The storm was extremely powerful that it continued to remain a hurricane despite moving more towards the inland. Many were surprised by the sheer intensity of it.
