Hong Kong police arrested a woman who allegedly tortured her Indonesian maid. The 23-year-old maid returned back to Indonesia and wasn't able to walk because of her serious injuries, which included blackened skin and lacerations on different parts of her body.
Erwiana Sulistyaningsih is being treated at a hospital and reports suggest that the police arrested her 44-year-old employer at the city's airport.
According to advocacy groups, about 5,000 people marched and demanded for justice and it was found that two more workers were tortured by the same employer.
"There was a time she asked me to commit suicide because I told her I did not want to work there anymore," one of them said.
