Gunmen kill 36 quarry workers in Kenya

  • At least 36 quarry workers were killed in a gun attack near Kenya’s northern Mandera town on Tuesday, December 2, media reports said.

According to some reports, the gunmen separated Muslims and Christians and shot the latter.

The killings come after Somali militants belonging to the al-Shabab group shot and killed 28 people in a bus last week, targeting the non-Muslim passengers.

Security personnel and the local unit of the Red Cross were at the site of the shooting, reports said.
