Guatemala Opened Embassy at Jerusalem after US

  • Guatemala has followed in the footsteps of the United States by opening an embassy in Jerusalem. It has become the second nation after the US to have done that. Just the two days after the US relocated the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales inaugurated the embassy there. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu considers the move fitting since Guatemala was also the second country after the US to recognize Israel 70 years ago. Now Paraguay has also announced that it would too relocate its embassy.
