Germany Protests Ends; 2 Suspects Under Arrest

  • Protests that took place over a murder in Chemnitz, an East Germany city, have finally ended. The police have said that many people were injured as objects were thrown on one another by the two rival sides. One Iraqi and one Syrian are under arrest as they are suspected of the deadly stabbing that took place on Sunday. Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, earlier issued a warning that the 'vigilante justice' wouldn't be tolerated.

Police also warned the stone hurlers that their activity was being filmed.
