French labor strike spreads to eight oil refineries
May 24 , 2016
In a dispute with the government of France, a strike, which has been called over the new labor laws, has spread to all of the eight oil refineries of the country, said the CGT union. According to media reports, around 20 per cent of the petrol stations in the country are either low on supplies or are running dry. Clashes were reported at a refinery on Tuesday when the police broke up a picket at Fos-sur-Mer in Marseille.
