October 24 , 2015
At least 43 people were killed in France when a coach carrying pensioners crashed into a lorry in what is being described as the country’s worst road accident in more than three decades.
The accident happened near Puisseguin village in the scenic Saint-Émilion region. After colliding with the lorry which was carrying wood, the coach burst into flames. Four survivors suffered serious burn or head injuries, reports said.
Prime Minister Manuel Valls described the accident as a catastrophe, adding that the country was in mourning.
