Gunman kills five people at Fort Lauderdale airport in Florida

    Jan 7, 2017 01:10 AM: The name of the gunman has been identified as Esteban Santiago. Reportedly, he took a Delta flight from Alaska via Minnesota and flew to Florida. He declared his weapon in a firearm carrying case. After reaching Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, he picked his carrying case from the baggage claim, took out his gun and opened fire.

    As per reports from Israel, Santiago acted alone. He is in judicial custody now and will be appearing in court in Broward County on Monday.

    Santiago holds a criminal record of three offenses.

    Jan 7, 2017 12:10 AM: Five people were killed when a gunman opened fire at Florida's Fort Lauderdale airport. Eight people have been injured in the attack. Media reports quoted the airport officials as saying that the incident took place at the baggage claim area in Terminal 2. It is believed the gunman is an Iraqi war veteran. The police have taken him into custody.
