Former FBI Chief Mueller Appointed for Trump-Russia Investigation

  • As per reports, the rising pressure in the Capitol Hill led the US Justice Department on Wednesday to name former FBI chief Robert Mueller as special counsel to probe Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election. He will also find out involvement of President Donald Trump's campaign and Moscow, if there was any.

After the Justice Department made the announcement, Trump said he looked forward to a quick resolution.

Mueller’s appointment came a week after Trump fired FBI Director James Comey.
