  • Romano Prodi (a former head of the European Commission, former Italian prime minister, and an economist) has said that both European Union and United Kingdom will reach a “historic compromise”. He said that both sides have to compromise in the fields of immigration and trade to reach a deal. Romano stressed on reaching a comprehensive Brexit deal otherwise Britain will commit economic suicide. He went on to ask Brussels of preserving trade with Britain as much as possible for averting any serious economic damage.
