    April 8, 2017: As per reports, two men were arrested by Police in Sweden after a lorry violently crashed into a shop on Friday. Five people were reportedly killed and dozens injured.

    The first man detained was suspected of committing a terrorist crime. He was arrested on Friday after a grainy CCTV image of him was released by the police. The second arrest was made later.

    At Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven's request the borders of the country have been tightened.

     

    Five Dead as Lorry Rams into Pedestrians in Stockholm

    April 7, 2017: At least five people were killed when a hijacked lorry rammed into pedestrians in the Swedish capital of Stockholm. Many people were injured in the terror attack, which took place outside the Ahlens department store.

    Stefan Lofven, the Prime Minister of Sweden, has said the crash appeared to be a terror attack. The Prime Minister further added that a suspect was arrested in connection with the attack.
