Ex-teacher freed after serving 30 days for child rape
September 27 , 2013
A former high school teacher has been freed after completing a 30-day prison sentence. The judge is being criticized for both his sentence as well as remarks about the rape victim.
The forty-four-year old Stacey Rambold completed the term for the 2007 rape and left the prison on Thursday.
Advocates are seeking the removal of District Judge G. Todd Baugh and also appealing his sentence.
Rambold is expected to register as a sex offender and is put under probation.
The rape victim, Moralez, who killed herself in 2010 was referred by the judge at the sentence hearing as seeming to be "older than her chronological age."
