Edgar Lungu, Zambia's defence minister, wins presidential poll

Edgar Lungu, Zambia's defense and justice minister, has won the country’s presidential polls, according to media reports.
According to the election commission Lungu, the Patriotic Front leader, won by a majority of 48.3% vote. Hakainde Hichilema from the United Party for National Development was a close second with 46.7%.
Hichilema claimed on Saturday, January 24, that the election process was a fraud.
Lungu has indicated that he will complete the development projects started by President Michael Sata, who died in October.
