Ecuador Faces a Massive Unprecedented Data Breach

A massive data breach came into light late on Monday in Ecuador, on the western coast of South America. The detailed information of the leak reveals that data of nearly 20 million people, which includes 7 million minors, was out in the open, which was found out by the internet security firm vpnMentor while working on a routine project. The location of the breach was found to be somewhere in Miami in an "unsecured server" which was owned by Ecuadorian consulting and analytics company Novaestrat. The breached data includes financial information, bio data, home and office addresses, national identification number, taxpayers numbers, and employment information, among others.
