Earthquake in Turkey and Greece claims two lives in Kos

  • Aegean Sea was rocked by a strong earthquake and two people also passed away as a result of this natural disaster at Kos, an island in Greece. The earthquake was measured at 6.7 on Richter Scale. It hit 12 km or seven miles towards the northeast of Kos. Kos is located on the Turkish coast. US Geological Survey has said that the earthquake was 10 km deep. Kos, which happens to be a top tourist destination as well, also saw a minimum of 100 other people getting injured.
