Dozens buried in debris after landslide hits Nepal
August 4 , 2014
At least 160 people are feared dead in a landslide in northern Nepal. Though only 10 deaths were confirmed, chances of pulling out any more survivors from under the rubble appeared very slim, rescuers said.
Bulldozers and other machinery were being used to clear some of the debris.
The landslide has also blocked the Arniko highway, an important route connecting Nepal’s northern areas with capital Kathmandu. Officially, 159 people have been declared missing in the landslide.
