Dementia patient indicted of starting fire at South Korean hospital that killed 21 patients

An 81-year-old is believed to have set fire in a hospital ward in South Korea, which resulted in the deaths of 21 people. The fire also injured seven people on the second floor of the hospital.
The security video shows that the fire spread two minutes after the suspect left the room and reports suggest that there was one nurse and 34 patients on the floor at the time of the fire.
This incident comes after the ferry disaster in the region and has raised concerns regarding lax fire regulations since sprinklers aren't required at hospitals for the elderly. "There is no excuse when valuable lives were sacrificed," the hospice director said.
