Death toll hits 55 in ferry diaster

Navy divers in the Philippines recovered more bodies from inside the ferry that sank after colliding with a cargo ship.
The number of people that are confirmed dead after the accident are now 55. Another 65 people are still missing but 750 passengers have been successfully rescued.
The divers discovered the body of a child near the hull of the sunken ferry and then managed to enter the compartments in order to recover more. The operations had been suspended later in the day due to bad weather.
Another team was expected to arrive and help with the rescue efforts.
This accident is being referred to as one of the worst maritime disasters in history.
