Cuba welcomes US move to remove it from 'terrorism' list
April 15 , 2015
The Cuban government has welcomed the US move to remove the Caribbean nation from the list of terrorism sponsors.
Cuba said the decision was “fair”, and the country should not have been on that list to begin with.
The development is being seen as a significant step towards normalizing relations between the two countries, and comes after the US President Barack Obama met Cuban leader Raul Castro last week in Panama on the sidelines of a summit.
