Mexico got its largest single-day jump in both newly confirmed cases and several cases of fatalities from COVID-19. As per Mexican health officials, Tuesday recorded 3,455 positive Coronavirus cases, bringing the nation’s total to 74,560. Since the beginning of the pandemic, this is the first time Mexico has recorded this number. In addition, 501 deaths have been recorded, bringing the total number of fatalities to 8,134. The new record came when Mexico was planning to move ahead slowly with the phased re-opening of certain parts of its economy in a location less affected by the virus.
