Cops deliver baby in Atlanta traffic jam
January 30 , 2014
Police in suburban Atlanta said they aided in delivering a baby in the middle of an icy traffic jam.
Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose mentioned that the little girl was born late afternoon but it's not clear if the couple was headed to the hospital before getting stuck into the honking snarl.
The traffic jam happened as many people attempted to navigate the highways that are barely ever covered in snow. Rose said the delivery went without any issues and an ambulance arrived right after the delivery in order to take the baby girl to a hospital.
"That baby was coming no matter what," a police officer said. "She did about 99 percent of it. The father did a lot. They were both calm. They were troupers."
