Cluster bombs used extensively in Ukraine conflict, says report
October 22 , 2014
Government forces and rebels in Ukraine have both used cluster bombs in fighting in the country’s east, the evidence gathered by Human Rights Watch has indicated.
While Kiev has denied the claims, the pro-Russia rebels have not commented on the issue.
Cluster munitions have been banned by most nations, but Ukraine has not signed the treaty that bars them.
The rights group said its investigation had revealed widespread use of the munitions in eastern Ukraine.
