China Reported No New Locally Transmitted Coronavirus Cases Yesterday

  • For the first time since January, China reported no new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases yesterday, as confirmed by the country's National Health Commission. The 32 cases that came were all imported. Since the pandemic began, China has recorded a total of 81,740 cases and nearly 3,331 deaths as per NHC. The total number recovered and discharged from the hospital is 77,167. With these new reports, Hubei province is getting back to normal, which is the ground zero of this worldwide pandemic. Tomorrow, i.e. on April 8, Wuhan's lockdown will be lifted, and people will be allowed to leave the province if they have a green QR code on their mobile phones.
