China paper mill accident: Toxic material kills seven workers

  • Seven workers have died in an accident at a paper mill in China’s Hunan province. The accident occurred when a man fell into a toxic pool and the others rushed to save him, reports said.

This is the latest in a series of accidents involving toxic chemicals in the country. An explosion at Tianjin port killed about 145 people earlier in the month.

On Friday, a man fell into a pool filled by toxic waste paper pulp, amid a cleaning operation. Other workers tried to rescue him but were killed by toxic fumes.
