CBO Predicts 22 Million Americans to Lose Health Insurance in a Decade, White House Rejects Claim

  • The non-partisan Congressional Budgetary Office (CBO) has said that around 22 million Americans may lose their health insurance in the coming 10 years when Senate healthcare bill replaces Obamacare. CBO said that by 2018, around 15 million Americans will be uninsured with replacement of the current law by the proposed legislation (a review of draft legislation is placed by the Republican Party). Democrats are likely to disapprove the legislation. White house has disputed the CBO figures by saying that the office has consistently failed to predict the impact of new legislation on insurance coverage accurately.
