Catholic Church of Germany Reports 3000+ Child Abuse Cases

According to the local publications Spiegel Online and Die Zeit, there are as many as 3,766 child sex abuse cases the Catholic Church of Germany has admitted in the span of years ranging from 1946 to 2014. The report which has taken full 4 years to assemble will be released on 25 September. It is conducted by the Universities of Mannheim, Heidelberg, & Giessen and is commissioned by the Conference of German Bishops. The report also reveals that most of the child victims were boys aged 13 or younger. It further states that there was a rape in every 6 cases.
