Burundi's president Nkurunziza returns home after failed coup

Burundi’s president Pierre Nkurunziza returned home to cheering crowds after a failed military coup, but the opposition has vowed to continue protests against his bid to run for a third term.
Warning that the protests against him must end, Nkurunziza sought to link the protesters to the “group that wanted to overthrow government institutions”. He, however, said “dialogue and talks” were the way forward — and not violence.
Meanwhile, reports say that three leaders who plotted the coup have been arrested.
