Brothers arrested on cannibalism suspicion in Pakistan
April 16 , 2014
The aftermath is turning out to be much worse than the foul smell. The case that has taken the attention of Pakistan started with complaints to the authorities about the bad smell that came from the home of Muhammad Arif.
The police chief said Arif's older brother had taken the body of a 2-year-old child from his grave and cooked it. The two men were previously arrested for digging up bodies that they claimed they ate.
Reports suggest that cannibalism isn't a criminal offense in Pakistan but the brothers were jailed for about 18 months after their confession. A hunt for Farman Ali began after Arif's arrest and the two were captured last night. They are now refusing to eat food in jail.
