November 3 , 2014
A 25-year-old British-Iranian woman has been announced one year in jail by Iran for attempting to watch a volleyball game, media reports said.
A law graduate from London, Ghoncheh Ghavami was held guilty of spreading “propaganda” against the regime.
She has already spent about four months in jail after her arrest on June 20. Ghavami had gone on a hunger strike last month to protest her detention.
British Prime Minister David Cameron had raised the issue with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in September.
