British Home Secretary Lauds Speedy Police Probe in Russian Ex-Spy Poisoning Case

  • British MP and Home Secretary Amber Rudd praised the professionalism of the police for “speedy” investigation of Russian ex-spy poisoning (exposed to a nerve agent). Till now over 240 witnesses are identified in just 6 days of the probe in the attempted murder of Sergei Skripal (66 years old) and his daughter Yulia (33 years old). Reports say the Russian ex-spy and his daughter are currently treated at Salisbury District Hospital and are still in critical but stable condition. On March 4, 2018 (Sunday) both were found unconscious on a bench in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Home secretary called it a “major investigation” that involved over 250 counter-terrorism police.
