British Government says 60 High-Rise Buildings Fail Safety Test, 4000 Residents Evacuated

  • British government has reportedly said that a safety test has been conducted on around 600 buildings throughout England after a massive fire at a high-rise building (Grenfell tower block) in west London killed 79 people on June 14. The test reports show that 60 high-rise buildings, spread across 25 local authority areas, have failed the test. Around 4,000 residents of the buildings were forced to evacuate their homes after the fire brigade ruled that the blocks of the 60 high-rise buildings are unsafe.
